Bound Feet describes the deep betrayal by a husband of many years. It demonstrates that shock and devastation brought about by that betrayal. At the same time, it provides glimmers of hope and recovery, and connects the individual experience with women's experience in our culture. Bound Feet is a collection of sonnets, mostly. It's seldom that we get a chance to read well-crafted sonnets--or any formal poetry built of stanzas, driven by rhythm, and graced by rhyme. Whol does this well, and to make this work even more remarkable, the separate poems are linked together by echoing rhymes into one long chain.
