There's no better feeling than being able to share with the world something that you find incredible.
This Leap Day, February 29th, come take part in Book Karaoke at the BookMark Shoppe, 8415 Third Avenue, at which you'll be able to read a favorite passage from a book to those gathered.
Bay Ridge book lovers will get to revel in the power of the written word as our community takes part in this first ever anywhere event.
Among those expected to attend and read a selection are City Councilman Justin Brannan, Senator Andrew Gounardes and State Committeewoman Joanne Seminara.
Please stop into the BookMark Shoppe to sign up as the event ends at 7 PM so it's first come first served/get to read.
When you sign in, you'll be asked for the title of book from which you will be reading so we can stock up in case those attending get inspired to read the entire book.
Keep the selection you read down to about a page. You'll be given the opportunity to make a quick commentary as to what moved you to select this piece, if you like.
While we ask participants to consider the sensitivities of our audience, since we won't know the contents of the selections ahead of time, this must be an adults only event.
Thank you for understanding.
